Which feed reader do you use? I use Feedly. And Facebook — like everybody else.
(Update: It’s July, 2018, and I quit Facebook at long last! No, I don’t miss it. Not at all.)
Facebook is not really a feed reader, you say? I agree. Facebook is a place to share jokes with friends and photos of your cat and kids, plus a way to connect with friends living on the other side of the planet, plus a feed reader, indeed, and much more.
Facebook is what we used to have before Facebook, i.e. the Open Web, but behind closed doors, delivered very well and a bit sanitised. And we love it, don’t we?
I actually miss the Open Web, the one that gave us blogs and Google.
But Google itself has turned its back on it, regardless of what Sergey Brin says.
If you like the Open Web, please ditch Chrome and go back to Firefox.
