Joseph Ratzinger is an enemy of humanity
How stupid do you have to be to go to England – a country that decided a long time ago, when god was still important, that they wanted their own church because nobody should tell their king how many times he should get married – and not only preach your supposed values to a population that largely and rightly opposes them, but also tell them that atheism is dangerous because Hitler was an atheist (which he was not)? Ratzinger’s visit to the UK was such a disaster for the catholic church that I am left with the feeling that we should pray for a papal visit every other year…

1. Dawkins does not represent all English people, nor do his band of fellow radical atheists.
2. The English church was not founded solely after Henry VIII had marriage difficulties – I suggest you read up on the history of the church in England.
3. I have never been to Italy, but if I ever do I hope to meet other Italian catholics who are not as generalising and apparently prejudiced as you.
Hi John, and thanks for stopping by. Regarding your points:
1) I’m sure he doesn’t, but among the world’s heads of state, only G.W.Bush was ever able to draw a crowd of 10,000 opposing his visit.
2) mine was little more than a pun. My point: it’s not so smart to visit a proud island that does things different and tell them they’re wrong.
3) I certainly hate the catholic church, but I’m absolutely sure you’re going to find more than enough people who don’t here in Italy.
