Feature requests? I’d rather call the following by their name, i.e. problems: first, there is no spam filter for comments on MT 3.2, which means that while the previous version put on hold 99% of spam comments, this one publishes them all. How nice. Second, I really don’t understand why junking a comment shouldn’t be enough to junk the comment AND ban that user’s IP address forever (or why you don’t provide a junk and ban command, anyway). Instead, I am forced to tick all the comments I received courtesy of cialis and viagra peddlers, choose ban commenter from the drop-down list, click GO, hope that it works (but I doubt it does, as no IP gets added to the banned IPs list), then do it all over again (and god knows how much I love reading spam), tick AGAIN (why? why on earth do I have to tick all those comments again after the system has performed an action I requested? On GMail, I get a page that says action completed and all the messages still ticked – and an untick all feature, of course), and then at long last click junk.
It is way too much work :-(

    ti diro’. io mi trovo da matti bene con word press.. non solo per i plug in che fanno le scarpe a ql.si versione di mt.. ma per la gestione anti spam. non penso che un cms per quanto ben fatto possa soddisfare tutte le richieste da parte degli utenti, e capisco che cmq almeno l’antispam sia richiesta comune… chissa’.. magari non vendono piu’ il viagra in altri paesi. se il buon gianluca un giorno si sveglia e passa a movable fa solo una scelta azzeccata, con buona pace di evectors che localizza mt in italiano!:)

    Quanta quanta quanta verità. Bellina eh la 3.2, coi colorini e le iconcine e quelle robe lì, ma sta gestione del junk è inguardabile.

    Prima di migrare Nazione Indiana da MT 2.65 a Wordpress, ho considerato un upgrade alla versione corrente di MT. Mi interessavano proprio le funzioni di gestione commenti e una certa finezza della piattaforma. Poi la licenza, l’upgrade tortuoso e valutazioni tecniche del prodotto mi hanno portato a scartare MT in favore di WP.
    I metodi antispam di wordpress sono il filtro per parole chiave, filtro per numero di link nel comento, filtro su IP. L’ultimo metodo è poco efficace e talvolta controproducente. Esistono molti raffinati plugin antispam/antitroll, ma WP sembra comunque poco colpito da comment-spambot, per ora.

    A me non è mai successo di subire spam sui commenti, pur non usando alcun filtro. Mi sento un pò escluso :(

    che occasione perduta… avresti potuto dire che bloggers.it ha filtri anti-spam che GMail si sogna, e invece…
